Children read their favorite poems and originals at a recent event held by the Andover Coalition for Education.
Thirty students from kindergarten through eighth-grade gathered at Orange Leaf on Park Street to read poems at the Oct. 27 event. Children who read a poem were given a free frozen yogurt.
The children’s Poetry Night was part of the Andover Coalition for Education (ACE) Scarecrow festival and is an annual event. Throughout the course of the Scarecrow Festival, ACE raised over $15,000 that will be donated to Andover Public Schools.
