More than 60 scarecrows took up residence in downtown Andover last month for the second annual Andover Coalition for Education Scarecrow Festival.
The festival culminated Oct. 25 with a rally event in front of Old Town Hall on Main Street featuring a presentation by Superintendent Marinel McGrath and performances by a cappella groups from Andover’s middle schools.
Jennifer Srivastava of ACE said the event drew the support of more than 45 sponsors, which contributed almost $10,000 to the cause.
