Overview
ACE’s investment in engineering at the middle and high school continued with support for new, technologically advanced equipment for APS’s engineering program. ACE is thankful to two corporate partners, Schneider Electric and Raytheon Technologies, for their support of these investments. As a result of ACE’s grant, going forward every middle school student will have access to a laser cutter as part of the engineering curriculum. This equipment will allow students to quickly produce – and then test – prototypes of their designs. In the high school’s IDEAStudio, additional fabrication machines have been purchased to support the growing demand for equipment that allows students to become facile with advanced manufacturing techniques. Access to these tools will help prepare our students for further studies and careers.
