This program, fully funded by ACE, and developed through the Boston Museum of Science promotes technological and engineering skills and concepts to 2700 students in all six Andover elementary schools. EIE, an engaging hands-on-program, meets the needs of the engineering standards in the elementary curriculum, based on the Massachusetts Science and Technology/ Engineering Curriculum Framework. EIE integrates with the Science and Technology for Children units promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning for elementary students. Through a team approach students apply their learning of math and science; use their problem-solving skills; and design creative solutions to complex challenges- they become budding engineers!
