No Strings Attached – This year, a major focus of support for ACE is the expansion of the grade 3 music curriculum to include the introduction of strings instruments, free of charge, to every student in need. The expansion of the grade 3 music curriculum will provide every student the opportunity to explore the performance of the recorder and/or string instruments as well as the practices, routines and music theory associated with instrumental music performance. ACE is removing the barrier to access by funding the procurement of string instruments to all five elementary schools, creating an equitable and inclusive music program and experience. It is our hope and the goal of the district to expose students to a range of personal musical experiences at an early age to lay the groundwork for continued participation and appreciation through their lives.
