Overview
When today’s future engineers are tasked to problem solve they have the tools they need to succeed.
Gone are the days of teens using toothpicks to build bridges and calling it engineering. Today Andover’s savvy high school students are taking lab courses in Green Energy Engineering, Robotics, Innovation, and Exploring Civil & Mechanical Engineering. With technology advancing at unprecedented rates our students are able to keep up thanks to an ACE-funded initiative between APS and NuVu, an education support company with a shared studio curriculum, pedagogical resources and expert knowledge. Examples of student work include designing wearable devices to improve health and clever designs to reimagine existing spaces in local communities. Currently, these NuVu courses are open to all Andover High School students, with plans to expand down through grade six.
